First Night Celebrations

Let’s not forget about celebrating the New Year!  There are more than 100 communities celebrating First Night in the United States, plus a celebration in Canada and one in New Zealand.

New Year’s Eve is a time for renewal and new beginnings.  There are First Night events held in cities all over the Northeast and thousands of people of all ages attend each year.  First Night is a great way to celebrate with your community and your family in an alcohol-free environment. It’s also an affordable way for everyone to ring in the New Year.  Arts and entertainment happen throughout the evening with dance, comedy, theater and almost every type of music available.

How do you get in on the fun?  Typically First Night is a non profit organization that sells a button for and that button gets you admission to all the areas they have to offer. Several First Night celebrations start as early as 1:00pm and of course continue into the New Year.
